Aligning to Fertility
When we talk about fertility, most people immediately think of babies. But the truth is, fertility is so much more than that. It’s a reflection of our overall health, alignment, and connection with ourselves.
In this episode of the Aligned Energetics podcast, I shared my personal journey with fertility—how I was diagnosed with PCOS as a teenager and told I might struggle to have kids… only to fall pregnant easily with both of mine. Why? Because I had done the deeper work to reconnect with my body, reduce stress, and bring myself into energetic alignment.
And that’s what I want to share with you today. Whether you’re trying to conceive, preparing your body for future pregnancy, navigating life post-baby, or even moving into menopause, fertility can be a signpost to explore what’s going on within.
Fertility Is a Sign of Health
Fertility is often our body’s way of telling us whether we’re safe, nourished, and in a place of balance. When things are off—emotionally, physically, mentally, or energetically—it’s one of the first systems that can be impacted. And it’s not just about having a baby; it’s about your relationship with yourself, your hormones, your stress levels, and your joy.
The Sacral Chakra: Where Joy and Fertility Meet
The sacral chakra, located just below the belly button, governs the reproductive system—but it’s also linked to creativity, sensuality, emotions, and JOY. If you’re not regularly feeling joy in your life, your reproductive system may respond with imbalance or disharmony.
Joy isn’t just something you earn after hustling hard or achieving a goal. True joy comes from being in the moment, feeling connected, and living from a place of gratitude and ease. If your days are consumed by stress, pressure, and overthinking… your body might be in survival mode. And in survival mode, fertility shuts down.
Why Stress Blocks Fertility
One of the biggest blockers of fertility? Chronic stress.
Your body’s #1 job is to keep you alive. And if it senses danger—whether it’s a looming deadline, financial worries, unresolved trauma, or feeling unsupported—it won’t allow something as vulnerable and energetically demanding as pregnancy to happen.
Your nervous system needs to feel safe. Safe to soften. Safe to receive. Safe to create.
What You Can Do to Support Fertility (and Hormonal Health)
Here are a few powerful shifts I recommend to support your fertility and overall wellbeing:
🧘♀️ Reclaim Your Joy
Do something just because it feels good. Dance, paint, walk barefoot in the grass, laugh with friends, or watch the sunset. Simple pleasures matter. Prioritise joy every day.
🌿 Slow Down
Swap intense workouts for yin-based movement like yoga, swimming, or gentle walking. Your nervous system needs time to breathe.
🛁 Come Back Into Your Body
Take a warm magnesium bath, stretch on the floor, book a massage, or simply place your hands on your belly and breathe deeply. Get out of your head and reconnect with your physical body.
💧 Clear Emotional Residue
We often hold grief, fear, or even ancestral trauma in our womb space. This can block energy flow. Energy healing, kinesiology, or even tapping (EFT) can help release what's been stored in your body—sometimes for generations.
🕊️ Trust Your Body’s Wisdom
Your body is more intelligent than you realise. Whether you’ve experienced miscarriage, challenges conceiving, or hormonal imbalances, know this: your body is trying to protect you. And it can also heal. Trust in the process.
