Reflect, Release, Renew – Preparing for an Aligned New Year

As the year winds down, it’s natural to feel a mix of emotions—relief, gratitude, exhaustion, or even frustration. The festive season often comes with its own whirlwind of busyness, making it tough to find time for reflection. That’s why I’ve created a gentle and transformative approach to help you let go of this year and prepare for 2025 in a way that feels empowering, not overwhelming.

This week on the podcast, I’m introducing a 30-day journey designed to help you reflect, release, and renew—without adding more to your already full plate. Each day, you’ll get a short, actionable podcast episode to guide you through small steps to reflect on the past year, clear out lingering energy, and create space for what’s next.

If you’re ready to start the new year feeling light, energised, and aligned, read on to learn how we’re kicking things off with the Wheel of Life, a simple yet powerful tool to check in on every area of your life.

What Is the Wheel of Life?

The Wheel of Life is a soul health check—a visual representation of the key areas that make up a balanced, fulfilling life. It’s broken down into categories like health, relationships, finances, and personal growth. By rating each area on a scale of 0 to 10, you can see where you’re thriving and where you might need to pour a little more energy.

This isn’t about perfection or achieving a flawless balance. It’s about understanding where you’re at and what adjustments will help you feel more aligned and whole.

How to Use the Wheel of Life

Here’s how you can reflect on your life using the Wheel of Life:

  1. Grab a Journal or Download the Worksheet:
Writing things down helps solidify your reflections and gives you something to look back on. Download my free Wheel of Life worksheet to guide your process.

  2. Rate Each Area of Your Life:
For each category, score yourself from 0 (needs a lot of attention) to 10 (thriving). Consider the following:

    • Health: Physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

    • Relationships: With your partner, family, and friends.

    • Finances: Are you in control of your money and spending it on what matters?

    • Career: Does your work bring you joy or fulfillment?

    • Personal Growth: What have you done to grow as a person this year?

  3. Reflect on the Why:
Why did you give each area its score? What’s working? What’s holding you back? This is where the magic happens—awareness opens the door to change.

  4. Set Intentions for the Year Ahead:
Once you’ve reflected on where you’re at, think about what you’d like to improve or prioritize in 2025.

Why This Process Matters

Taking time to reflect isn’t just about finding what’s “wrong” in your life. It’s about celebrating what’s working, letting go of what isn’t, and creating a clear path forward.

When you become aware of where your energy is going, you can make conscious choices to redirect it. That might mean prioritizing your health, deepening relationships, or exploring a new hobby.

This process is empowering because it puts you in the driver’s seat. It reminds you that you have the ability to create the balance, joy, and purpose you desire in your life.
